Just some random thoughts
Ok, before I delve into my latest random thoughts, I just have to say a huge “Thank You” to our family at West Suburban Christian Academy. You truly show the love of God through your kindness, generosity and friendship. We are truly blessed to be part of such a wonderful and loving community.
So, for those of you who don’t know me very well, I have lots of random thoughts. Well, not really random, they are triggered by is going on in the moment, the thoughts just seem random to those who can’t hear my thoughts, which I guess is everyone… here is an example. Paul and I will be driving and be talking about something. After we are done talking, I believe my wonderful God given husband just kind of “tunes out” meaning he just concentrates on driving, while I keep the conversation going on in my head. However, my mind will suddenly go off on a side trip. Here is an example:
“How’s the salt in the water softener?” “Pretty low.” “Let’s not forget we need to pick up while we’re out” “ok”
So, this is the point where the verbal conversation ends. But here is what is going on in my head:
“Ugh..I need to finish up the laundry when we get home (the water softener is in the laundry room) ….I think the boys socks are getting low…..oh I forgot to check their homework assignment book to make sure it’s all done……Oh, am I supposed to bring that snack in for Jacob’s class this week or next week…. I need to get gas tomorrow after I drop the boys off at school…..Man I am in the mood for Taco Bell…..”
I wander off on these tangents and thankfully Paul is now accustomed to them. I try to be careful around other people, at least until they know me better before I unleash the tangent train on them. Perhaps this may help you my dear readers with some of my blogs…I realize how sometimes I go off topic in my blog and thought you deserved an explanation.
